I have found two newspapers that have joined The Kings Cross Sting that is the Kings Cross Whisper and the NOW newspaper They describe The Kings Cross Whisper as a newspaper that was famed not just in Kings Cross however around Sydney for its naughty nudes, hilarious, tongue-in-cheek satire on the issues and the important people of the day. The Whisper was started up as a bit of fun Journalist project by two local Kings Cross journos in 1964.  It was first sold to New Year's revellers in Kings Cross and then over the years it was sold on the streets of Kings Cross for about 20 cents an issue. The newspaper started 1964 and survived to the 70's. The Kings Cross Whisper, was outraging its audience, this was the start of the page 3 girls that took our newspapers to a different level.  How dare they talk about SEX in the paper, however it is Kings Cross and was wildly adding to the Red light district enlightment.  See SEX has been around for years.  It is the most exciting aspect of our human life yet we leave it in the corner only thinking about it occasionally once we have past the single life phase.
